    Description

    A test locomotive for the United States Army is being prepared for a trial run at the Quarter Master Depot in Fort Worth, Texas. The train is one of the two new 1,000-horsepower diesel-electric engines. Standing on the train, left to right, are Major C. W. Nummy, Colonel B. D. Butler, and Captain Curtis S. Hunter. Major Nummy is the 4th Army Superintendent of Railways. Colonel Butler is the acting commanding officer of the Quarter Master Depot. Captain Hunter is the Depot transportation office. All three men are dressed in military uniforms.
