Description
Fort Worth Cats pitchers, left to right: George Dockins, John Van Cuyk, and Eddie Chandler. The southpaw, Van Cuyk, is throwing a few as he limbers up for Tuesday night's playoff opener. The first place Cats will face the fourth place Tulsa Oilers. Van Cuyk is one of the Cats' youngest and toughest on the pitching staff, ending the regular season with a 1.42 earned run average, the top mark on the team. Chandler will get the ball in game two. He led the team in wins with 20, and innings pitched. Dockins is the Cats' other left-handed pitcher, who will take the mound in game three. He spent 1945 in the Major Leagues with the Saint Louis Cardinals. The men are warming up in the outfield of LaGrave Field. They are dressed in the Cats home uniform.
