Description
Image shows Firemen are spraying water on a burning two story building that houses the Courthouse Market. The fire began on the roof around midnight and was spotted by Tracy Doyle and Charles J. Flynn. The three alarm blaze, early Saturday morning attracted hundreds of spectators. All available off-duty firemen were summoned along with the regular force at twelve stations. Several firemen are on the hose while others climb ladders to the second story. Their fire trucks are in the background. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition July 27, 1940.
