Description
The United States Public Health Service (U. S. P. H. S.) Hospital is using occupational therapy wards to assist Navy veterans with acute psychiatric cases. Miss Katherine Hurst, of Houston, Texas, is pictured with one of her patients. The patient is absorbed in choosing the next color for his wooden cigarette box he is painting. Miss Hurst is an occupational therapy major at Texas State College for Women and receiving clinical experience by working at the hospital. She is wearing uniform and eyeglasses. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 1, 1946.
