Miss Ruth Tolman (left) queen of Minneapolis 1947 Aquatennial, with her companion Sally Delaney, an advertising manager of a Minneapolis Hotel. The women are shown descending from a set of steps from a ship, both holding on to its railing. Miss Tolman is wearing a blouse underneath a buttoned jacket and a dark skirt. She is also holding her larger coat in her left arm and a dark purse around her shoulder. Miss Delaney is wearing a striped, long-sleeve dress with buttons that run down the top. The duo is smiling widely.
