    Description

John Reeves, right, president of Fort Worth Baseball Club, wishes luck to Raymond "Rickey" Rowe, and gives the star pitcher a new Texas League baseball. After a two-month search for the best 18-year-old baseball player in the state of Texas, Rowe, of Dallas, Texas, was selected by a scout for the Brooklyn Dodgers and the manager of the Fort Worth Cats. In a few days, Rowe is leaving for the World All-Star Brooklyn Eagle All-Star series. He is sitting on the edge of a desk, dressed in a cowboy hat, western shirt, trousers, and cowboy boots. He is holding a cowbell on a rope in his left hand and the new baseball in his right. Mr. Reeves is dressed in a dark colored suit.
