Description

A group of four fire fighters, Fort Worth Fire Department are demonstrating a new piece of fire-fighting equipment. Pictured here from left to right, are Grover Wallis, A. E. Rodgers, John Murphy, and Fire Chief Claude L. Ligon. The new equipment is a hydraulically-operated fire hose clamp, praised as the best yet produced. Mr. Wallis, who has been a fireman in Fort Worth for twenty-seven years, invented the device. He is dressed in his uniform. Mr. Rodgers, city fire department drill master, is dressed in his uniform. Mr. Murphy is wearing a button-up shirt, trousers, and a peaked cap. Chief Mr. Ligon is dressed in striped shirt, necktie, and trousers. There is a firetruck parked in the background.
