Description

Members of the Civil Air Patrol (C. A. P.) are inspecting a searching and rescue unit. The plane is a C-64 aircraft operated at the Fort Worth Army Air Field. Inspecting the plane, left to right, are Cadet Private First Class Bill Guiles (Weatherford, Texas), 1st Lieutenant Ford White (Weatherford), Cadet 1st Lieutenant Glenn Nicholas (Grand Prairie, Texas), Cadet Sergeant Bill Sullivan (Waxahachie, Texas), Cadet 1st Sergeant Edgar Carter (Waxahachie), and Cadet 2nd Lieutenant Dean Boyd (Fort Worth, Texas). The six men are dressed in their military uniforms. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 22, 1946.
