Description
Fort Worth residents have many reasons for wanting to cast ballots in the coming election, and in their minds the important things is that no citizen should fail to take advantage of the right to vote. J. D. Surginer, Life Underwriter, says "I'm going to vote because I'm interested in seeing the right persons in the right places. ... I'm interested in seeing some of these veterans elected - not just because they are veterans but because I think some of them have good, young ideas and the ability to do a good job." Surginer is photographed with a checker patterned shirt and a hat. He is in a parking lot with automobiles in a downtown. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 21, 1946.
