Description
Toy-Maker. Corporal George A. Ward adds the finishing touches to a toy wooden duck in Fort Worth Army Airfield hobby shop. He stands at a circular sander, sanding the edges of the toy. He wears overalls and stands in front of a sign that reads "Keep Scraps Off The Floor." The toys are being made by field personnel on spare-time basis for European children as part of national plan sponsored by Children's Friendship and Gift Association. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 17, 1946.
