Retired Rail Man Traveling Again - This Time for Health -- After working forty seven (47) years as a railway employee, J. W. Johnson retired form the Texas and Pacific (T&P) Railway Company in March. He began traveling again by train with his wife and left Texas & Pacific for California. 76-year-old Mr. Johnson is recovering from infantile paralysis (polio). In California he expects to fully recover by following a health routine of fishing. He is shown standing near a wall, smiling and wearing shirt, suspenders, tie and hat. He is carrying a watch chain on his belt loop. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 14, 1946.
