Description
Ned Alvord, Press Agent Extraordinary, in Town -- Ned Alvord, best show in show business, visited Fort Worth Tuesday for a booking of "Carmen Jones" at the Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium. The renowned and beloved press agent, a resident here during the 1936-37 Casa Manana show, is known throughout the world for his good judgment and bad taste -- anything for a laugh. He is shown here. He stands in long tailed seersucker suite and wears a hard-boiled straw hat, eyeglasses and white shoes. He holds his right hand up raising his index finger, and cautions "Be sure you mention the name of the production, get the date correct and print the prices." Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 10, 1946.
