Description
Second In State -- Miss Polly Pullen of Lena Pope Home, Intermediate 2, Training Union of Broadway Baptist Church, who recently won second place in the state sword drill contest held in Dallas. She formerly won first place in the local church, associational and district contests. Miss Pullen, senior at the Arlington Heights High School, will leave July 10 for Ridgecrest, North Carolina (N. C.), representing her church in the south-wide Baptist Young People's Encampment. Miss Pullen is shown seated on a chair, smiling for the photo. She is wearing a dress and necklace.
