When Old-Timers Gather -- Some of the pioneer West Texans seen by the Chuck Wagon Gossiper at the Texas Cowboy Reunion at Stamford this week. Here are J. M. Ferrel of Memphis, Hall County, who came to West Texas 51 years ago (left), and Ben Simpson of Northfield, who has lived in West Texas 50 years. Both men are shown seated, wearing suspenders and posing for camera. Mr. Ferrel is holding a hat while Mr. Simpson is wearing a hat.
