Description
The trophy that Mayor Pro Tem Marvin D. Evans received was a 25-pound dumb-bell and along with it the Pessimists Club conferred the title of "most useless citizen of Fort Worth." The club members wrested the title from T. J. Harrell, former mayor, who retains the Exchange Club's title as the most valuable citizen. Mayor Evans is holding the award, standing inside a barber shop. He is wearing a pinstripe dress shirt, checkered necktie and eyeglasses. One half of the dumb-bell reads, "Fort Worth Pessimists' Club," and the other half, "Most Useless Citizen."
