Double Winner -- Jack Turpin, 15-year-old Highland Park netter who ranks third nationally, beat Julian Oates of Waco for the boys' singles crown. He then teamed with Oates to take the doubles. Jack is pictured here. He is seated on the ground, wearing tennis uniform and holding a towel with his hands around the back of his neck. A tennis racket is at his feet. He is smiling and posing for the photo. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 1, 1946.
