Description
James A. Weir of Long Beach, California, 15th Air Force veteran and representative for the Association of World War II pilots and aviation specialists, is here to organize a wing in Fort Worth of veterans interested in aviation. The first meeting is held in the lecture room of the Public Library. All veterans are invited to attend. Officers will be elected. Any veteran who has received or will receive an honorable discharge from the service is eligible for membership in the organization. Weirs wears a short sleeve shirt in this half-length portrait picture. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, June 30, 1946.
