    Description

    W. K. Stripling, right, Fort Worth merchant, was commissioned "Admiral of the flagship fleet" of American Airlines system by W. N. Taylor, acting district traffic manager for the system. Stripling received the honor for "his meritorious service to air transportation." The award is a framed image of a plane above an inscription. Both are holding the award and looking at each other and wear a suit and tie. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, June 30, 1946.
