Description
The national peanut crop is about 3,500,000 acres only slightly under the acreage in the peak war year of 1945. The national council is working with all branches of the peanut industry through research to improve peanuts and peanut products. An informal dinner and floor show was held at Hotel Texas. Among the other early arrivals for the meeting are, left to right: T. C. Wylie, Ranger, M. E. Shell, Gorman, and Ralph McMillen, Bristow, Oklahoma. In this picture, they stand next to each other and pose with smiles. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, June 28, 1946.
