The Shreveport Sports arrived in Fort Worth, Texas, for a series against the Fort Worth Cats. The Cats' first baseman Lou Ruchser slid feet first into second base ahead of the throw from shortstop to Shreveport second baseman Al Mazur. The umpire is standing on the grass preparing to call the runner safe.
