Miss Peggy Hanson, 19, is the first girl to qualify for the non-collegiate flying course sponsored under the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) program by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Her father, W. M. Hanson, served as an airplane pilot in World War I. She is pictured standing in front of a curtain, in a half length portrait. She is wearing a dress and smiling.
