Description

While on tour in Fort Worth, Texas on June 18, 1946, Bob Hope met with local girls Virginia Dofflemyer, left, and Sally Lang. The women were winners of WBAP's singing contest. They were getting chummy with Mr. Hope before his variety show at Farrington Field. Mr. Hope planned to ad-lib and wise crack his way through the two-hour benefit in front of 9,000 fans. The women are wearing fancy dresses and feathers in their hair. Mr. Hope is wearing a suit with a pocket square.
