    Description

Thomas Newell McGuffey, 22, Wednesday, was returned to Fort Worth, Texas from Greenville, Texas and held without bond after being charged with the fatal stabbing May 19 of Aaron Jackson Stallons, 22. McGuffey was a Greenville railroad section gang worker. McGuffey was charged with Stallon's slaying after a report from the Department of Public Safety showed that flakes of gold paint in a knife sheath in McGuffey's car were of the same type as those on the knife blade broken off in the slain man's skull. The body of Stallons was found in Denton Creek northwest of Grapevine. In the image, McGuffey is wearing a T-shirt and is standing in front of the wall. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 30, 1946.
