The City Council formally accepted City Manager Bothwell's resignation Wednesday and appointed W. O. Jones, city public works director, acting city manager at the same $12,000 - a- year salary received by Bothwell. . Jones is sitting at his desk in his office. There are office supplies on the desk including a stapler, ruler and pens. paper clips and an organizer. There are some rolls of paper, a calendar, some picture frames. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 29, 1946.
