Description
J.B. Britt of Dallas, fireman on the T&P Texan, cut off the steam at 4:20 p.m. Thursday at the station here. Engineer of the train, which arrived at 3.30 p.m. from El Paso, walked out of the cab, at 4 p. m. on strike and the train did not proceed east from Fort Worth. Britt is standing in front machinery that includes calibration scales, knobs and wires. He is wearing a shirt, a hat, a glove and eyeglasses. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 24, 1946.
