Description

Mrs. Margaret Burke, 77, of Detroit, Texas, smiles from her berth. She is one of the stranded passengers in the railroad strike who was accommodated in a Pullman set up by the Texas and Pacific Station. The strike interrupted her trip home after an operation performed at Tucson, Arizona. She is covered in blankets and is wearing a watch on her left hand. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 24, 1946.
