Description
The names of the 1946 Smile Girl, the class beauties, and the person to whom the book is dedicated were revealed Friday when the Texas Wesleyan College (TWC) student year book, the "Txweco" was distributed. It was the largest ever yearbook published by the school and is dedicated to Professor F. R. Matthis. Editor of the annual was Doris V. Tolan, assisted by Betty Findley, both of Fort Worth. The beauties of the year are left to right, Stella Green, Fort Worth, Texas, freshman; Elizabeth Hasley of Washington, District of Columbia (D. C.), junior, and Carolyn Clarke, Ranger, Texas, sophomore. All three girls are standing in front of a wall smiling for the camera. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 24, 1946.
