Description
Three of the 21 sailors en route to the separation center at Norman, Oklahoma, whiled away the hours by eating and playing the juke box at a café near the Santa Fe Station. They are, left to right, Seaman Fist Class Jimmy Smith, Elk City, Oklahoma; Electrician Mate Third Class Jimmy D. Henry, 2912, Fairfield, Fort Worth, Texas and Shipfitter Third Class Don McDowell, Henryetta, Oklahoma. All three are in their respective uniforms. They are holding sandwiches while fiddling with the jukebox. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 24, 1946.
