    John Q. Burnett of Dalworthington Gardens, Texas, an investigator and field worker for the Texas Old Age Association Commission and State Department of Public Welfare for the past 10 years, announced his candidacy for the State Representative, place 2. Burnett advocates rewriting of pension laws and removal of the ceiling on pensions. He contends payment should be limited to the needy and the needy blind, widows and dependent children. He also believes that teacher salaries should be raised. Burnett who is in charge of the Arlington Office of the Welfare department, has resigned effective Monday. . He attended North Texas State Teachers College at Denton, Texas, for two years. In the image, he is sitting on a chair wearing a striped suit. He is wearing round-frame eye-glasses.
