Description
In early 1943, Fort Worth, Texas, installed an air raid alarm at the fire station to sound a warning in case of an enemy bombing attack. With the war over, the city is removing the siren. A 70-foot boom of a motor crane is lifting one of the 1200-pound sirens from a tower at the fire station. Eight other sirens are being removed from fire stations throughout the city.
