Description
Breaking an ankle failed to stop Jo Ann Phillips (on stretcher), 16, from attending graduating festivities of Amon Carter-Riverside High School. Classmates autographed the cast. Left to right, around the stretcher, are Jeanette Green, Margie Hardesty, Helen Jean Schieman, Deane Muckelroy, Marilyn Harris, Dolores Vincent, Marylou Miller, Lawrence Coursey, Bill Weatherred, Bobby Roach, Troy Kemp and Bobby Sparks. Phillips is wearing a floral top, graduation cap and holding a bottle of soda on her left hand as her classmates gathered around her. Few of them are in the graduation attire with a robe and hat. All of them seem to be on the corridors of the Carter-Riverside High School. There are couple of people in the background. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, May 14, 1946.
