Description
Hailstorm fell in five minutes at the Municipal Airport, Monday. Shown is a riddled fabric-covered wing, typical of damage to scores of planes parked in the open when the freak flash storm struck. Hailstones measured at up to one and one-half inches in diameter resulted in an estimated $50,000 to $75,000 damages. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 14, 1946.
