Description

City and county officers breaking up a picket line of striking machinists' union of Convair on Texas and Pacific Railroad property. The 31 pickets were arrested and carried in police patrol wagons to the sheriff's office, where charges of unlawful assembly were filed against them. John F. Foster Junior, district president of the striking Convair machinists was among those arrested. The officers are loading the strikers into a police car, at right. On the ground are several protest signs. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 10, 1946.
