Description
The Texas Rangers joined deputy sheriffs in the daily patrol of striking machinists' picket lines at the Convair plant. The officers, left to right, are Ranger Captain Bob Crowder, Captain E. K. Browning, and J. M. Beaty. Crowder and Browning are Department of Public Safety officers acting in capacity of Rangers. Crowder and Browning are wearing cowboy hats, button-up shirts, neckties, coats, trousers and cowboy boots. Mr. Beaty is wearing a hat, button-up shirt, necktie, trousers and a holster with a gun on his right hip. He is cupping his hands over his mouth as he lights a cigarette. The picket line is behind the Rangers, along the side of the road. And automobile is driving down the road.
