Description

Doctor (Dr.) George W. Cox, State health officer who can site facts and figures to prove that municipal and personal cleanliness will cut the communicable disease toll in Texas, is shown at his desk in Austin, Texas , signing certificates for persons completing a voluntary course in sanitary food handling issued by the Texas State Department of Health. He is wearing a suit and tie and eye glasses. There are a variety of office supplies on his table including a paper weight, telephone and his nameplate. There are flowers at the corner of the table. He is sitting in front of a window. There is a picture frame in the background. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 1, 1946.
