Left to right, Lee Irish, Mrs. Lee Irish, and their son (standing) with his wife and son Jimmie Irish. Mr. and Mrs. Irish and their son's wife are sitting on a couch and Jimmie is on his mother's lap. The Irish family moved from Bell County 21 years ago. The Irish family ranch is the first oil production site to be opened in Hale County of the West Texas Permian Basin after oil was discovered on the land by the Stanolind Oil and Gas Company. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 23, 1946.
