Description
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is organizing a fundraiser to bring baby hippopotamus Memphis Belle to the Forest Park Zoo in Fort Worth, Texas. Shown contributing to the fund is Clyde Allen. He is the manager of the Parkway Theater. He is standing next to a cardboard poster of Memphis Belle, who grins an open-mouthed welcome to the city's movie patrons. Movie goers can "feed" her coins to donate to the fundraiser. Mr. Allen is dressed in a suit.
