    Description

    James Vernon France (left) and Cloy Schumate are members of the school safety patrol. They are demonstrating the correct procedure for helping children cross the street. The patrol members are not allowed to stop or direct traffic. Their role is to hold pupils at the curb until the street is clear, and then start the youngsters across. The children are students at Stephen F. Austin Elementary School.
