Description
The American Legion is opening the Bothwell Kane Post recruiting booth in the Hotel Texas lobby. Pictured left to right are Lieutenant F. X. Markovic, J. M. O'Brien, and Miss Helen Clark. Lieutenant Markovic is a Ferry Command pilot at Dallas Love Field, and a veteran of the United States Army. He stopped by the booth for information on the Legion. He is dressed in a military uniform. Mr. O'Brien is chairman of the post's membership drive. He served in World War I as a sergeant. He is wearing a hat, button-up shirt, and trousers. Miss Clark is a former corporal in the Women's Army Corps (W. A. C.). She is wearing a plaid dress. The Legion's booth will be open for three weeks in an effort to attain the post's goal of 2,000 members.
