Description
The Fort Worth Cats, a minor league affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers, are hosting the New York Yankees in a Spring Training exhibition game. The Yankees star center fielder, Joe DiMaggio, is shown at the plate. The great batsman connected with a smooth swing and sharp follow-through. The ball traveled to the base of the left field wall, just short of his sixteenth home run this spring. DiMaggio followed his first at bat with a single and a double. He is returning to the 1946 season after three years of military service. The Cats went on to win the contest.
