Description

Patrolman T. J. Smith is demonstrating how he fired two shots through the windows of his police car. He hit Ernest William Ford, who was pointing a.45 caliber pistol at Smith's partner Marshall McMahan. Officer Smith hit the suspect twice in the shoulder and back. Ford was arrested with accomplice Paul Edward Gibson. Both men are wanted for a bank robbery and murder in Indiana. They are being held at the Fort Worth Police Department, awaiting extradition to Indiana. Officer Smith is dressed in his police uniform.
