The Fort Worth Cats, a minor league affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers, are preparing for the upcoming 1946 season. Warming-up for a Spring Training game is Lou Ruchser. He is one of the giant first basemen battling for a starting position. The twenty-two year old southpaw is shown scooping a low throw out of the dirt. Ruchser is dressed in his baseball uniform.
