Description
Lieutenant Colonel Albert McCleery, is in town to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. McCleery and friends. He wore the silver oak leaves, the Bronze star, the Silver star and three campaign stars. In the service he was a paratrooper and became an officer of the 101st Airborne Division. He participated in the invasion of Germany as commander of a photographic crew but also qualified as a fighting soldier. After his last day in uniform, he will be a professor at Fordham University and director of the university theater. Before joining the Army in September 1942, he was with Columbia Studios in Hollywood. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 28, 1946.
