The North Side High School football team is preparing for the upcoming 1946 season. Pictured, left to right, are Coach L. B. Morris, Bob Vann, and Yale Lary. The boy at the far right is unidentified. Coach Morris is dressed in a t-shirt and shorts. Vann is wearing sweatpants. Lary is a star athlete for the Steers in both football and baseball. He is dressed in a t-shirt and shorts. Lary later played professional football with the Detroit Lions for 11 seasons and was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
