Description
The South Side Police Department station is a two-story brick building with arched windows on the first floor. The 29-year-old building which has witnessed three eras in the development of the police system, was condemned and ordered torn down. It has housed units of the mounted police patrol and served as headquarters for the bicycle squad. Its usefulness passed when cruising scout cars came into use. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 4, 1940.
