British Brides. Captain Hayden Ellis of Mertzon, Texas rode the bride train from New York to Texas, gets a smile from his wife, Mary Ellis, and daughter, Mary, when he talks of cowhands. The family of three are sitting in the cabin of a train at the Texas and Pacific Station (T&P). Mr. Ellis is wearing a suit. Mrs. Ellis is wearing a dress and coat.
