    Description

Captain Alvin B. Chrisman, who has just returned to Fort Worth, Texas on terminal leave from the Army Air Forces, has been named supervisor of physical education in the elementary and junior high schools, Superintendent W. M. Green announced Saturday. Still in Army uniform, Chrisman assumed his duties Saturday to complete the recently reorganized athletic and physical education department in the public schools. His work will be closely coordinated with that of Athletic Director Herman Clark and Miss Frances Wayman, supervisor of girls' physical education. Prior to entering the Army in April 1942, Chrisman served as coach physical education instructor at Carter Riverside Junior High School. Mr. Chrisman is standing against a wall in an Army uniform holding his hands in front of him. Star-Telegram Morning Edition February 9, 1946
