    Description

    Roy M. Mays, has been named chief scout of the Pure Oil Company, southwest producing division in Fort Worth, succeeding James F. Brannan, who has been transferred to Wichita Falls, as land man for the North Texas district. Mays, a native of Denton, has lived most of his life in Fort Worth, and is a graduate of old Central High School. After high school, he was graduated from the North Texas School of Law in 1937 and went to work in the land and rental department of the Pure in Fort Worth. In October 1942 he entered the Federal Bureau of Investigation, serving in Washington, Miami, Norfolk and two years in New York City. He returned to the Pure company in November 1945 and was assigned as scout in New Mexico. He is married and the Mays have one child. In this picture, he is sitting by his desk and smile.
