Description
Tarrant County's contributions to aid for refugees of war-torn Europe soared to $51,744.40 when the Pilot Club turned over $915.17, the receipts of its Red Cross benefit ball. R. E. Harding, left, drive chairman, received the club's check from Mrs. J. G. Sims, center, president of the organization, and Henry Love, Hotel Texas manager. The hotel furnished its Crystal Ballroom and two orchestras for the benefit. Mr. Harding is wearing a suit and eyeglasses. Mrs. Sims is wearing a dark colored, long sleeved dress and a hat. Mr. Love is wearing a suit. The three are standing in front of a window with the blinds shut, and behind a dining table.
