Description
Veteran patrolman W. C. Whitehurst believes "You can arrest a man and still make him your friend." He has been making arrests and friends for the police department for nearly a quarter of a century. He is shown standing against a bare wall, facing slightly right and wearing his police uniform. Since coming to the department at the age of 29, Whitehurst has earned the term "model" policeman from Chief Dysart, who has praised him for his years of successful work. "Whitehurst has never been known to be involved in any argument or dispute of any sort" Mr. Dysart said. Whitehurst and his wife has a son who is with the Army Air Forces. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 29, 1946.
